The Uganda Sevens that competed in the Rugby World Cup from 9-11th September sealed off with a win over Germany (12-19)
Uganda Sevens on 11th September 2022 won the bowl final of the Rugby World Cup Sevens against Germany at the Cape Town Stadium.Tries were scored by Ian Munyani, Michael Wokorach and Philip Wokorach while Philip made the conversions.

We have met Germany for the 3rd time in a space of two months and we lost back to back games 17-14,17-14 and there was bit of nerves in today’s game. We now look forward to take a bit of rest and later get back onto the road. Winning the bowl means a lot to us and we are going to enjoy this moment for quite some time.
Uganda faced Samoa in the opening game of the world cup sevens and lost 33-07. Uganda’s try was made by Michael Wokorach and conversion by Philip Wokorach.
On day 2, then faced South Korea and won 12-00.
Uganda also played Hongkong and defeated them (14-05)
On day 3, Uganda faced Germany in the bowl final and defeated them 19-12.
