The Stanbic Black Pirates beat KOBs 19-07 to win the Stone City 7s, the opening circuit of the Nile Special 7s 2023 Series at the Damwaters rugby ground.

Uganda Sevens player Timothy Kisiga scored 2 tries with the third made by Arnold Atukunda. All tries converted by William Nkore.

KOBs had a try made by Justin Kimono converted by James Ijongat. Timothy Kisiga was the MVP of the circuit.

In the run up to the main cup final, Pirates saw off Impis 42-07 while KOBs beat Heathens 15-12.

The next circuit heads northwards to Kitgum town on July 8th and 9th.
