There has been a reported positive COVID-19 case with one of the players in the Rhinos RFC camp.
As such all the players who attended that session have become contacts and will all require to undergo tests to determine their status.
The Uganda Rugby Medical Society as per the COVID-19 Protocols are monitoring all the contacts and have accordingly recommended that the game between Rhinos and Toyota Buffaloes scheduled for 1st May 2021 be postponed until the status of the contacts are known.
We commend the Rhinos management for being vigilant and reporting the case early which will ensure that the situation is handled in good time.
We urge all the teams to remain vigilant and observe the set SOPs for the sport .
