The Uganda Lady Cranes Team won the 2023 Safari 7s after defeating the Kenya Lionesses 15-12 in the womens final at the RFUEA ground
Uganda’s tries where scored by Agnes Nakuya, Lydia Namabiro and Ritta Nadunga with unsuccessful conversions by Nassozi Maimuna.
Coach’s remarks:
”It is a very great achievement. I give credit to my girls. They managed to push amidst very many challenges. A very tough tournament to us. We lost couple of players to injury and a card somewhere but kudos to the 10 that stayed to fight for the team and they made their country proud.”- Onen Charles
