Uganda defeated Zambia 30-08 in the first game of the Victoria Cup 2023.
Uganda’s captain Ivan Magomu scored the first penalty kick followed by Zambia’s made by Terry. Ivan Magomu scored responded with another successful penalty kick followed by a try for Eric Mulamula. Ivan Magomu successfully converted. Debutant Timothy Kisiga made the second try leading to a half time score of 18-03.
Second half kicked off with a try by Omoding with an unsuccessful conversion. Zambia’s Koloko then scored a try with an unsuccesful conversion. Uganda was awarded a penalty try following an infringement leading to the Full time score of 30-08. A yellow card given to Zambia’s Hillary Mwasi for the infringement.
