Road nursery and primary school in Gulu
2. What subjects do you teach?
I teach English only.
3. Which classes do you teach?
I teach Primary 1 and 3. Teaching these young ones is a profession I love dearly.
4. How has lockdown affected your teaching profession?
The lockdown has limited my interaction with pupils and since my school is a private one, it has affected me financially.
5. Tell us more about your rugby journey. What inspired you to play rugby?
I was inspired to play rugby by my friends who were already playing it.
6. Who introduced you to the sport?
My sports teacher Ojok Justine introduced me to the sport and I have never looked back.
7. When did you start playing rugby?
I started playing rugby in 2014 at Kitgum Town College.
8. What position did you play at Kitgum Town College?
I was a prop.
9. What did you enjoy most about the national team training you took part in when in Jinja?
The camp was great as I learnt a lot from it. I enjoyed every bit of it especially new skills. The coaches were great too. I also enjoyed the camp because of the unity among players.
10. Do you have a training program you are following during this 42-day lockdown?
Yes, I do train every day. It has helped me stay fit and hopeful to play the sport again after lockdown.
11. Advice to rugby players in this lockdown.
I advise them to maintain fitness and keep training from home. The situation isn’t easy but let’s not give up.
12. Best rugby moment?
My best moment is when I was selected on national team this year. (2021)
13. Where do you see your rugby career in 5 years from now?
I want to be rated at the international level in 5 years.
