1. How did you start playing rugby?
I started playing rugby as a kid at St. Mary’s College Kisubi in 2009 after admiring a couple of senior players in the school team.

2. What appealed to you most about the game?
Rugby increased my self-confidence (I recall I was a very shy boy heheheh), courage, the togetherness and respect it brings amongst different people, plus I must admit it’s a very fun sport because well it has a number of unique elements.

3. How do you feel about participating in the Repechage?
I feel excited and also under a little bit of pressure because we’ll be representing the entire Uganda for a shot at the Olympics keeping in mind that we can only qualify by winning the event.

4. Where does your participation in the Repechage games rate in your rugby career highlights?
As a team, this tournament means a lot because its the only way we are going to make our way to the Olympics. I therefore take every step of the tournament very seriously.
5.List your career highs and lows.
2018, scoring the winning try against Zimbabwe at the death to win the Africa 7s which helped us qualify for Commonwealth games in Gold coast and 7s World Cup in San Francisco.
Lowest moment: losing the Africa cup final in 2019 in Johannesburg.
6.Who have been the most influential people in your rugby career or another?
Honestly they are so many and they all stand out in one way or another…
7. Who are your role models
Damian McKenzie who plays full back for the All blacks and Cristiano Ronaldo.
8.What are your interests outside rugby?
Hanging with friends, Video games, I studied my bachelors in Statistics at Makerere University and I’m doing further studies in Data Science in which I’m really interested.
9.Tell us about your journey in rugby to where you are now.
It’s been a transition from being a small school rugby star to playing club rugby with more senior and bigger players and there came national team where you have to play against different people who you have no idea about, well I’m really grateful for the sport, it has taught me quite a lot and taken me places.
10.What do you understand by the statement “Africa As One.”
Well in my own understanding, I think it’s one way of uniting Africa through sport, rugby in particular.

Discipline as a team, Team work, Patience and Belief that we are actually a very good side that can beat any 7s rugby team in the world.
